Well, that’s a wrap for the 2025 season! 🎉
We are now officially closed and want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful seasonal campers, repeat guests, and new visitors who made this year such a special one.
Your laughter around the campfires, recipe swaps in the pool, and shared moments by the ocean are what make Lockeport Campground feel like home every summer.
As we head into the hibernation months, we wish you warmth, rest, and great memories until we meet again. 🌙❄️

We are excited to announce that an EV charging station is now available at our campground! We offer Level 2 (40 AMP) EV charger located at the office on campground

About Us
Susan & Rudy Sommer
Hello and welcome to Lockeport Campground & Cottages. Your host are Susan and Rudy Sommer. It has been 6 years since we brought the campground and have extensive renovations throughout.
Susan has been in the travel industry for the past 27 years - 12 years as a travel agent and the past 15 years in a back office travel agent support role. She had traveled though out Europe and the Caribbean and loves nothing better than spending her time in her workshop or working around the campground.
Rudy immigrated to Canada from Switzerland in 2001. As a child, his family camped throughout Europe - Southern France, Germany, Italy, Spain, England and of course Switzerland. He worked in the hospitality business for 20 years.
You will see both Susan and Rudy walking the campground each morning and evening with their little fur baby Ami.

We sadly said our goodbyes to Ami on June 21, 2025. She was diagnosed with diabetes last year and unfortunately went into diabetic ketoacidosis. We will miss our walks around the campground every morning and evening . Rest easy my sweet little girl
Ami our trusted " Guard Dog". Anywhere there are treats to be had, you will find Ami. She is a dog who loves speenning free now with Casey and Meka. Rest easy my little girld.....from going for a ride on the bike to hitching a ride our our gator
Your pets are welcome!!!!!
For the safety of your pet and with respect for fellow campers, we ask that you keep your pets on a leash both on and off campsite and please remember to clean up after your pet.
Pet Friendly
We are a pet friendly campground. We do not charge extra fees for you to bring your fur babies however donations to Hope for Wildlife are greatly appreciated.
