Lockeport Campground & Cottages is located in Lydgate in the South Shore of Nova Scotia.  We are a 3 minute drive from Lockeport, NS  ,  20 minutes from Shelburn, NS and 1 Hour from the Yarmouth Ferry Terminal.    

Our campground offers 41 overnight sites

30 AMP  - Full Service  - Water,  power and Sewer

Un-serviced tent sites

Double Bunkie - 2 single beds with power and mini fridge

Quad Bunkie - 2 Single bunk beds with power and mini fridge

 3 - 1 Bedroom Cottages are equipped with 1 queen short rv memory foam mattress,  full bath, sofa,  small fridge and microwave,  single burner induction stovetop, Amazon firestick TV and large outside deck with BBQ overlooking our pond.   

Flush toilets, showers, fire pits and firewood is available.  Families can enjoy the pedal boat,  canoe or kayak on our small  pond or take a plunge into our heated salt water outdoor pool.  We also have laundry facilities $$$ onsite.   We are 3 kms from the beautiful white sands of  Crescent Beach and 10 minutes from the quiet beautiful Louis Head Beach.

 Hello and welcome to Lockeport Campground & Cottages.  Your host are Susan and Rudy Sommer.  It has been 6 years since we brought the campground and have extensive renovations throughout.

Susan has been in the travel industry for the past 27 years -  12 years as a travel agent and the past 15 years in a back office travel agent support  role.   She had traveled though out Europe and the Caribbean and loves nothing better than spending her time in her workshop or working around the campground.  

Rudy immigrated to Canada from Switzerland in 2001.  As a child, his family camped throughout Europe - Southern France, Germany, Italy, Spain, England and of course Switzerland.  He worked in the hospitality business for 20 years.   

You will see both Susan and Rudy walking the campground each morning and evening with their little fur baby Ami.
